CLASS 3 FUNDRAISING
EVENT – Friday, 30th September 9.30-11.30am
Class 3 has chosen to be involved with the world’s biggest coffee morning and support the Macmillan Cancer Relief charity. Please feel free to bring friends and relatives with you to the coffee morning. Any baking to serve with the coffee or gifts for the tombola will all be much appreciated.
Suggestions Box
This is in the entrance of the school for use by parents, pupils and members of the local community.
Please phone the school before 9am if your child will not be attending school that day.
The class register is taken at 9am each day. When a pupil returns to school please ensure that they give a written note to their class teacher explaining their absence.
Outdoor clothing
Please make sure that your child has clothing for going outside in the rain as we try to make sure that they get some fresh air even when it is wet.
Children should also have a change of footwear for playing outside to prevent the carpets getting dirty.
Emergency contacts
Sometimes a child needs to be taken home because of illness or in the case of the school having to be closed at short notice. It is important therefore that the school has the correct contact information. Please can you ensure that you have provided the school with the correct emergency contact details or if your contact needs to be changed or mobile phone numbers updated, please contact the school office to make the necessary changes.
Clubs
Clubs will start the week beginning 19th September. So far we can offer Netball and French.
If any parents are willing to run an after school club in art, cookery, cricket, football, rugby etc please speak to Mrs Hawkins. (A teacher would be on site whilst the club was held).
Any offers will be gratefully received.
Due to increased teaching commitments Miss Firth will no longer be able to teach trumpet or piano. We may be able to arrange peripatetic lessons if there is enough interest in an instrument.
Swimming
Swimming will commence on Wednesday 21st September at West Craven Swimming Pool, Barnoldswick for children in years 3 to 6. (A separate letter regarding swimming will be sent shortly to these children).
