We would like to say a big thank you to all our sponsors in making this project happen
NYCC purchased the field but it has been down to the school to fund all works thereafter from it own budget including the leveling and drainage, which was obviously a large amount of money. As of 12th February 06 the field had been leveled, drained and the large storm water tank constructed.
In order for the school children to benefit from use of the field as soon as possible, we decided to turf the flat area, so set about raising the necessary funds. We have now reached our target and work started on laying the turf on Monday 24th April 06 and we are hoping that the children will be able to us it by the end of May.
This now leaves us to raise the necessary funds to fence off the playing area and buy the sports equipment for the children to use.
